We come from a variety of backgrounds. Most of us are Hispanic but we don’t define ourselves by race or ethnicity, but rather by mission and guiding principles. We also don’t define ourselves by immigrant status.
Some of us are naturalized citizens, while others are second generation immigrants, yet others are from families that have been here many generations. In fact, our founder is a 13th generation immigrant, though his wife is an immigrant and soon-to-be naturalized citizen.
Most of us are long term Republicans who also have a personal connection with immigrants, which gives us perspective on the Republican Party and immigration.
